AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Boys & Girls Clubs of Emerald Valley provides a safe, affordable, and engaging after school program where youth can learn, grow, build friendships, and have fun. Our Bethel Clubhouse at the former Shasta Middle School offers high-quality programming led by caring and consistent staff.
Registration for the 2026-2027 school year program opens on Thursday, July 30. Registration will be completed online through the Boys & Girls Clubs Parent Portal.
A Safe Place to Learn and Grow: Our trained staff create a positive, inclusive environment where youth feel safe, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Programming: Club members enjoy encouragement and guidance from caring, consistent staff who lead engaging activities throughout the afternoon. Programming includes academic enrichment, STEAM activities, outdoor recreation, arts and crafts, and leadership development. Youth also have opportunities to choose from a variety of activities based on their interests while building friendships and developing new skills. Teens can explore additional opportunities through our Teen Program.
Program Location:
Beginning September 2026, the Bethel Clubhouse will be located at Shasta Middle School, 4656 Barger Dr., Eugene, OR 97402. Summer programming will continue to operate at the Clear Lake Community Center.
Hours of operation:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 2:30–6:30 p.m.
Early Release Wednesdays: 1:30–6:00 p.m.
Service Dates: September 8, 2026 - June 11, 2027
Ages Served: Youth currently enrolled in grades K–12 are eligible to attend. Kindergarten enrollment is limited to 25 youth and spaces are expected to fill quickly.
Program Fees: Thanks to generous community support, Boys & Girls Clubs of Emerald Valley is able to offer one of the most affordable, high-quality after school programs in Eugene.
Annual Membership Fee
A one-time registration fee of $50.00 per child is due at the time of enrollment. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. The membership is valid from the day of enrollment until August 31, 2027.
Monthly Program Fee
- $50 per month for one child in grades 1–5
- $10 per month per youth in grades 6–12
- $100 per month for one child in kindergarten (limited to 25 youth)
A debit or credit card is required to be stored on your account. Monthly fees will be automatically charged on the 1st day of each month from September 2026 through June 2027. No charges will be applied in July or August 2027.
Commitment to Affordability: We are committed to ensuring every child has access to a quality after school experience. Financial assistance is available for families who need support with program fees. If you need financial assistance, please email Laurie Rodriguez at lrodriguez@bgcev.org.
Mandatory Parent/Member Orientation: Every youth and parent/guardian must attend a mandatory orientation prior to their child attending the Club. Date and times to be determined.
Meals: Every day, members receive a nutritious afternoon snack at no additional cost.
Transportation to the Club: Bethel School District provides bus transportation to the Club for youth attending Prairie Mountain, Meadow View, Danebo, Fairfield, and Malabon Elementary Schools. A Boys & Girls Club van provides transportation from Cascade Middle School. Transportation space is limited.
Transportation Home: Members must be picked up before closing. Transportation home is not provided. Repeated late pickups may result in additional fees or loss of membership privileges.
Waiting List: If the Club reaches membership capacity, a waiting list will be established. Families will be added to the waiting list in the order registrations are received and will be contacted as openings become available.
Outstanding Balances: All account balances must be paid in full prior to registering for the 2026-2027 school year.
